Snowapple has been working for several years with the Moving Academy for Performing Arts (MAPA) based in Haarlem. This institution, founded in 1993 by Ide van Heiningen, has been working for more than 20 years as a mobile academy in Central and Eastern European countries. Bringing together a number of artists who wish to discover the specific techniques of mime

and the musicality of movement, MAPA is characterised by a reflection on space, light and movement. By giving them carte blanche during the Jardin Rouge Festival 2022, we wish to present to the public a complete program gathering several performances created according to the place. The reflection and appropriation of places that characterise MAPA’s work make their performances in situ always unique and unforgettable.
